Warranty

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Products offered for sale on this site are sourced from several manufacturers and suppliers and are covered by the warranties offered by those manufacturers. In most cases manufacturers will require a “Proof of Purchase” receipt to accompany any claim under product warranty.

Products manufactured or imported by Oomph Sports Pty Ltd carry a product warranty consistent with Australian Consumer law and Office of Fair Trading requirements.  All items manufactured by Oomph Sports are covered by full repair or replace warranty for a period of 3 months from date of purchase.

You have the right to expect a refund or replacement for any product that has a “major failure” in the material or manufacturing within the product.

For the purpose of product warranty clarification we have listed below some examples of warranty enquiries in relation to several products manufactured or imported by Oomph Sports Pty Ltd.

Bags:

Hoop2Hoop brand sports bags are manufactured and tested to carry up to 15 kgs in weight and are designed to comply with most international airline Carry On luggage allowances. International airline weight tolerance for a bag this size is 7kg. Below are some examples of product failure that are NOT COVERED under product warranty.

Stress points on bags such as strap buckles and swivels can be tested if a loaded bag is subjected to duress such as swinging or tugging. This action can increase the “weight” tolerance on the stress points by as much as 500%.

Such overloading can result in bent or broken strap buckles and swivels which are not covered under warranty. Example of Buckle under duress is below.

Seams where straps are attached to the main bag compartment may also come under duress during such overload. Example of seam duress.

Zips are also a stress point that can be subjected to duress if the compartment is overfilled.  Example of zip duress.

Players uniforms:

Most sport players uniforms manufactured by Oomph Sports are manufactured in 100% polyester fabric and the design is applied using dye sublimation printing process. This process is the printing a graphic design onto a transfer paper and then applying the design to a white fabric using heat transfer technology. The pattern shape is cut from white fabric and then the print design is applied.  The inside of the fabric remains white whilst the outside is a vivid colour. Occasionally – particularly if the design is a dark colour – there may be small particles of thread or fabric fluff caught between the paper and the white fabric during the heat transfer process, which after washing may be revealed as minor spots or lines. This is inherent in the “small run” manufacturing process and is deemed commercially acceptable by Apparel Manufacturing Industry standards.

Many sports activities require the garments to come in regular hard contact with the playing surface (usually timber floors or turf covered earth), and generally the fabrics are designed to be suitable for each sport’s specific durability requirements. On occasion a fabric will come in contact with a playing surface in an excessive manner that will cause the fabric to “burn” or to rupture. This damage is easily identified under laboratory examination provided by Oomph Sport fabric technicians should there ever be any doubt as to the cause of such damage. This type of damage is NOT COVERED under manufacturer warranty.

Other examples of fabric damage NOT COVERED under manufacturer warranty include:

  • Abrasion caused by contact with rough surface such as brick or concrete walls and asphalt pavement.
  • Abrasion caused by contact with rough surface such as park bench or playground equipment
  • Tears in fabric caused by excessively rough playing conditions
